Seven Southland FFA members competed in Mid -February in their SAE proficiency areas at the regional level. Six of the seven proficiency areas submitted by student members placed first in competition.
Karter Jax placed first in his Diversified livestock proficiency , Alec Bissen placed first in Agricultural Mechanics and repair, Brody Canterbury placed first in dairy production placement, Ella Thome placed first in swine placement and Ag. sales placement.
Other members Brant Bissen placed first in Diversified Agriculture, Dawson Sorenson placed first in Agricultural mechanics design and fabrication. James Mullenbach placed 4th in his area of Dairy placement.
All 7 students mentioned will also receive their state degree in late April . All proficiency applicants will compete at the state level for first in their respective areas in the coming weeks.
