My name is Kaitlyn Sawdey and I am the School Social Worker for the Southland Public School District. This is my second year as the School Social Worker here at Southland and I continue to be excited for the opportunity to work with all students, staff, and caregivers in the district.
My role as the School Social Worker is to assist in making connections for students and families between school, community, and home to aid in academic success while utilizing a Trauma-Informed Care approach. Students may meet with me for conflict management skills, friendships, understanding and accepting themselves and others, social skills, transitions, emotion regulation strategies, various mental health concerns, and other areas that may be interfering with your students success.
