The Southland Ag. Mechanics class just completed laying block and placing boards at the junior high baseball field to make a new home team player bench.  In 2010 agriculture students poured two cement slabs for this project and finally this year were able to complete a bench .   Students learned about concrete and the technique of laying block in class and then put their skills to work on a community service project.  Students involved as pictured above were Brody Canterbury, Alec Bissen, Dawson Sorenson, Karter Jax, James Mullenbach, Brant Bissen, Cole Kildahl, Dean Gossman, and instructor Kevin Brown.  It is just another trade skill set taught at Southland.
