I am Christine Peterson and I am excited to be here at Southland as your Middle/High School Special Education Reading/Resource Teacher.  I have taught in the great states of Minnesota and Texas which has given me wonderful learning experiences.  I have also furthered my academic knowledge by attending schools like Minnesota University - Moorhead, Concordia University - Texas, Concordia University - St. Paul, and Southern New Hampshire University.  I have a licensure in General Elementary Education and Special Education K-12 (EBD).  I also have two Master Degrees in Advanced Literacy and Language-Based Learning Disabilities.  Outside of Southland, I am currently an Adjunct Professor for Alliant International University - San Diego, CA in their Educational Teaching Department.  Personally, I live with three cats, Nala, Pooka, and Quasi.  I have a wonderful daughter, Emma, and son-in law, Josh.  I hope to be a grandma very soon to humans, but I do have grand-animals Pipen (dog), Snix (cat), and Peanut (cat).
