Southland Elementary Student Council had a good drive for the elementary school for students to bring in boxed or canned food for the Southland Food Shelf.  The classroom who brought the most canned or boxed foods in would get ice cream treats.  The classroom who brought the most food in for the food drive was Mrs. Schotanus’s 4^th grade class with 206 items.  They received the ice cream treats!  2^nd place was Mr. Heimer’s 5^th grade class with 146 items.  Third place was Mr. Phillip’s 1^st/2^nd grade class and 4^th place was Mrs. Sorgatz’s 2^nd grade class.  The elementary brought in a total of 924 food items.  Way to go!.  A huge thank you to all who donated.
