Now Hiring – Facility Manager for the Southland School District

Job description

Dashir is looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities at the Southland School District in Adams MN. You will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are safe, clean, and functioning well for daily activities. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, well-organized and have a good understanding of maintenance, grounds, and custodial services. Leadership abilities and communication skills can set you apart among our candidate pool. The goal is to ensure our customers facilities are well maintained and safe for students, staff, and visitors to learn, work and enjoy the best facilities possible.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with your staff, district administration and Dashir
• Ensure that the building is clean and ready for students and staff daily
• Manage the upkeep of equipment to meet health and safety standards
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, maintenance, groundskeepers etc..) and external contractors
• Manage service contracts
• Keep complete and organized records

Skills

• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
• Well-versed in mechanical operations and facilities management best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
• Maintenance experience
• Boilers license or the ability to attain one within 90 days of hire
