Ella Thome of Adams was named the region 8 star in placement this past week. Ella competed against all other state degree applicants in the placement area in Southeastern Minnesota. Ella’s placement SAE this past year has been at J&S Repair in Grand Meadow. At her place of employment she aids with inventory and customer service. She also places social media updates and aids in shipping inventory to customers. She has also held placement jobs at Adams Builder’s Supply and Advantage Crop Consulting in the past years. Ella is currently the Southland chapter President and has been an officer for the past four years. Last year Ella was the chair of the successful Donkey basketball fundraiser. Ella has attended several regional and state camps and has attended the state convention numerous times. In her spare time she has been the manager of girls volleyball, basketball and softball. Ella’s parents are Matt and Amy Thome of Adams.

Ella will compete for the Minnesota State Star in the next few weeks in hopes of winning both a Star recognition and also first place in one of her 2 proficiencies that won the region also. Best of Luck!
