Southland FFA officers took part in the virtual regional fall leadership day on September 24th. The day started at 9am with the Regional officers welcome and opening ceremonies. The group then learned about FFA basics for the year and how all agriculture and FFA students will use a program called AET to track their FFA and agriculture experiences. Several tours were offered and they were Caledonia Haulers, CFS, Square Deal dairy and Wirbke livestock. Students also attended a workshop on using social media in their chapters and proper use as a FFA member. The regional leadership day concluded around 11:15. The Southland FFA officer team all agreed it was really cool and fun even though it was all online but hope that next year it be attended in person.
