My name is Kendra Hotchkiss and I am the School Counselor for Southland Public Schools. I've been a School Counselor for over 11 years, and in that time I've had the privilege of working with students at every grade level. My job is really about supporting the whole student, academically, socially and emotionally. This can be anything from visiting classrooms to teach lessons, running small groups, meeting with students 1 on 1, or just being that safe, encouraging person they know they can come to. 
I believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported and valued here at school, and I want each of them to know they have someone on their team. I also believe that the best way to help our students thrive is by working together-students, families and staff-and I really looking forward to building those relationships here.
